At 100 years of age, on October 15, 2022 Edna Jane Johnson went to her Heavenly Garden Home to a well-earned peaceful rest. Born in 1921, the eldest of eight, she was a hard worker and a great example to all. During World War II she worked at a bomber plant near Detroit. She married John Johnson in 1949 and together they raised four children. She was employed at the Ida School District in Michigan from 1965 until her retirement in 1986. Edna was a skilled homemaker, seamstress, cook and tirelessly supported her four daughters in their many endeavors. Family and friends, gardening, quilting, reading, traveling and her Jack Russel, Buster gave her much enjoyment.
She is preceded in death by five siblings, husband and two son in-laws. Edna is survived by two siblings, her four daughters, two son in-laws, five grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
During her final years she lived at Mill Creek in Marquette, MI where she was very well cared for.
At her request there will be no public service and donations in Edna’s name can be made to a charitable organization of donor’s choice.
