Dennis Raymond Jolgren, 69 of Pelkie, Michigan passed away on Sunday June 14th, 2020 in Ann Arbor, Michigan after a six month battle with leukemia. He was born December 12, 1950 in Detroit Michigan to Raymond and Lillian (Autio) Jolgren.
Dennis was a mopar (dodge) connoisseur, he enjoyed talking to anyone one, about anything at any time. If he saw you on the side of the road he would stop to help and you would make a life long friend. You could often find him with a case of mountain dew and a bag of Old Dutch potato chips. He could always be found cooking corn at the local fair or wandering around a junkyard looking for treasures.
Dennis is survived by his three children, Michael Jolgren of Pelkie, Keny Rene Jolgren of Colorado and Alex Jolgren of Hawaii. His sister Jean (Patrick) Kamarainen of Ironwood. Nieces and nephews Jennifer Kamarainen (Aaron Nunberg) Theo and Walter of Minnesota, Amy Kamarainen (Nicholas Preston) and Ryven of Canada, Steven (Laura) Kamarainen, Cate and Rhett of South Dakota. Uncle Leland Jolgren, of Plymouth and several cousins and a special thank you to Debbie and Mike who supported him while he was in Ann Arbor.
Grave site services will be at the Pelkie Cemetery on July 1st at 11 am with a luncheon to follow at the Pelkie Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers; donations may be made to the Pelkie Fire Department. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
