Dennis Harold Koski, age 71 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 in Flint, MI.
He was born April 24, 1948 in Aura, MI son of Walter and Helen (Salo) Koski. He graduated from L’AnseHigh School in 1966 then received a degree in Forestry from Michigan Technology University. Dennis worked as a Forest Technician for DNR until he retired in 2002. He then ran a portable sawmill, traveling all over making lumber and also logged.
He was a member of the Aura Lutheran Church and a former member of the Aura Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed bowling, trapping, fishing, being outdoors, and loved animals.
Dennis was married to Alta Reed. After she passed away, he found companionship and the love when he met Sharon Chenoweth. Together they had great times together for almost 5 years.
Surviving are his fiancé Sharon Chenoweth of L’Anse; uncle Roy (Eila) Koski of Aura; and numerous cousins.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife Alto; aunts and uncles, Florence Nelsen, Albert Koski, Norman Koski, Walter Koski, Helen Barnett, Dora Weisanen, and Irene Honkala.
A graveside service will be held this summer in the Aura Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
