Obituary: Delores B. “Dee Dee” Soli

Delores B. “Dee Dee” Soli age 90 of L’Anse, MI passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. She was born in L’Anse on March 3, 1931 the daughter of the late Elmer J. and Elaina (Friberg) Koskimaki. Dee Dee graduated from L’Anse High School in 1949. She married Ralph Soli at United Lutheran Church, L’Anse on October 1, 1949. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1997. Dee Dee had been employed at BCMH, working multiple positions and at Marquette and Baraga prisons as an accredited Record Technician She was a very active member of United Lutheran Church, Eastern Star, WELCA, Sarah Circle and the L’Anse and Baraga American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Dee Dee enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, refinishing furniture, traveling and especially loved working on family genealogy.

Dee Dee is survived by her loving children Mary Dee (Richard) Schmitz of Pittsburg, James “Whitey” (Nancy) Soli of Skanee, Elaine (David) Whitman of L’Anse, Joanne (Kelly) Erickson of Skanee, Jane Roy of Skanee and Daniel (Jeri) Soli of Oak Creek, WI, grandchildren Richard James, Billy, Kathy, Tim, Nicole, Scott, Neil and Joey, and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson Kelly, son-in-law Dennis, granddaughter Elizabeth and sister Ardeth.

Private family funeral services will be held.
Interment will take place in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
