Deborah Ann LaRue (nee Campioni), 60, of Port St. John, Florida, passed away on July 1, 2024 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melborne, Florida due to complications from a stroke.

Debi, a Houghton High School graduate, lived and worked in Florida as a hair stylist for many years with her open spirit turning many clients into close friends. She was with her mother and sister in her last few days. Classic rock songs were played. Memories of her generosity were shared. She was peaceful and well cared for by the hospital staff. We are comforted knowing that she has been reunited with her father, Patrick Campioni, longtime partner Richie Cognata, and her beloved dog Ozzy.

She is survived by her mother, Janice Campioni of Hancock, her son Chad LaRue of Utah, sisters Julie (Mike McCurdy) Campioni of San Francisco, CA and Maria Campioni of Calumet, brothers Joseph (Angela) Campioni of Houghton and Ben (Kim) Campioni of Houghton, nieces and nephews Tyler (Morgan) Vertin, Taylor Vertin, Cayden Campioni, Myah Campioni, Evelyn McCurdy, and Carter Campioni, special friends Karen Niematelo and Bob Foster.

A memorial service will be held locally at a later time. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to a local humane society in the name of Debi LaRue.
