David D. Rintala, 70, a resident of Atlantic Mine, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Omega House in Houghton following a lengthy illness.
He was born on June 17, 1952, in Hancock, MI, a son of the late Wallace and Sylvia (Kobe) Rintala. David was raised in Baltic and attended the Jeffers Schools.
Mr. Rintala worked as a mechanic and also was a handyman for Bill Wakeham for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his cats and tinkering with lawnmowers and small equipment.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother Steve and sisters: Patty Jaehnig and Nancy Rintala.

A service for David is being planned to be held later this spring with burial in the Mt. View Cemetery of South Range.
