David Aron Jahfetson, 35, a former resident of Keweenaw Bay, Michigan, died on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born Oct. 2, 1987, in L’Anse, MI, a son of Jacob and Elaine (Koski) Jahfetson. David graduated from Baraga High School in 2006 with honors. He was a very hard worker. David helped his parents on the family dairy farm. He was employed with Danielson Contracting from 2007 until his time of passing.
David was a great outdoorsman, especially liked goose and deer hunting; he made a lot of wild game sausage. He also enjoyed gardening and picking wild blueberries. He even made a lot of applesauce (150 quarts one year).
Proceeding him in death were his grandparents, Albert and Aileen Koski, Wilhart and Leona Jahfetson; and great-nephew Jack Bates.
He is survived by his parents Jacob and Elaine; sisters, Sara (Jim) Tembreull of Baraga, Wendy (Dean) Rogers of Keweenaw Bay, Karen (Craig) Palosaari of Chassell, Tricia (Ryan) Bates of Chassell, Jackie Jahfetson of South Heart, ND; brother Jason Jahfetson of Keweenaw Bay; nine nieces, five nephews, one great-nephew; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Jacobson Funeral Home in L’Anse with Mark Halonen officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service. Burial will be in the Keweenaw Bay Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Keweenaw Bay Fire Hall.
