David A. Koski, 77, a resident of Tamarack Location passed away on Monday November 19, 2018 at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.
He was born on September 28. 1941 in Calumet a son of the late Levi & Julia Louise (Capello) Koski.
He graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1961.
He was employed at C&H, Calumet Public Hospital, drove cab for his parents cab company Central Cab Co. and worked as a private duty home care provider.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy sailing on the USS Dewey. After 40 years some of his shipmates found him, they stayed in contact with shipmates taking vacations in the U.P.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, camping and motorcycle riding.
Surviving are: His life partner Marthy Sandy children Jamie I. Hawks and Corey M. Sandy

Amy (Dave) Vordeyen of Wyoming
Tracey (Rick) Green of Wyoming
3 grandchildren: Bryan Koski, Kyle Green and Emma Green

His shipmates from his U.S. Navy Ship USS Dewey Louis Kinch of Indiana, Mike Abramovich of New Mexicao and Rudy Holmaka of Nebraska.
Spring burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Eagle Harbor.
The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
