As received from Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Service:
Dan “Rosebud” Rosandich, 65, a resident of Houghton passed away at his home on January 9, 2023, following an apparent heart attack.
Dan “Rosebud” Rosandich grew up in Ontonagon Michigan graduating from Ontonagon Area High School in 1976. He was a talented artist who created cartoons for many publications locally and internationally. It sounds cliché, but Dan truly never met a stranger. He traveled around the globe including trips to Europe, Australia, Great Britain, and Russia leaving in his wake new friends he continued to communicate with for the rest of his life.
To Dan, friends were his family. He never held back when it came to helping people if he could. Dan would visit friends laid up in the hospital to brighten their day and offer encouragement. He often
would visit the final resting place of friends and reminisce with them about the good times he had with them. You can be sure he is surrounded by those friends and family now, swapping stories and
sharing laughs.
Dan was preceded in death by his mother June, Stepfather James ‘Whitey’ Floyd, younger brother Jimmie and his four-legged companion Barney. Dan is survived by his cousin Gloria Dinkins and husband
Dennis.
Dan lived a short but full life and will live on forever in his work and his friends.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be announced by the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home at a later time.
