As received from the Jacobson Funeral Home:
Daniel Joseph Morro Sr, age 67 of Baraga, MI passed away on Thursday, September 16th, 2021 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on September 7, 1954 in Chicago, IL son of Henry and Lucille (Loonsfoot) Morro. Dan grew up in Chicago and moved to Superior, WI in 1987. He did construction work for several years and then worked for Amsoil for 12 years prior to moving to Baraga in 2013. He worked at the Ojibwa Casino until he retired.
Dan’s children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed music, loved the Beatles, playing guitar and singing with family and friends. Dan liked to fish and was a life long fan of the Chicago Bears. The residents at the Ojibwa Senior Housing were a second family to Dan. He was always around to help fix anything. Dan would have gave the shirt of his back and this is why he made so many life long friendships. He was loved and will be missed by many.
Surviving are his best friend for 47 years and mother of their 4 children, Wanda Brock; children, Daniel Morro Jr, Joseph (Wendy) Morro, Amy (Todd) Morro, Anthony (Sabrina) Morro all of Superior, WI; sister Jackie LeMieux of Bear Lake, MN; grandchildren, Keicha, Alex, Tylor, Alexis, Andrew, Joseph, Trinity, Alyssa, Lauryn, and Madison. Many cousins, nieces and nephews. Long time friends Steve (Steve-O) Kristovich and Judy Loonsfoot both of Baraga, MI.
Preceding him in death are his parents; siblings, Carol Stevens, Hebert Morro, Gerald Morro, Robert Morro, Richard Morro, and Raymond Morro.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 24th at 11 a.m. at Most Holy Name of Jesus Church in Assinins with Fr. Corey Litzner officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. at the church. A feast will follow at the Ojibwa Senior Housing. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
