Obituary: Clint Dube

As received from the Ryan Funeral Home:

Clint Michael Dube, age 51, passed away peacefully due to Covid complications at Portage Pointe on February 18, 2022. He was born on September 30, 1970 in Madison Heights, Michigan to James Gerald and Gail Patricia (Mattila) Dube. He moved with his family to Copper City in 1975 and attended Calumet Public Schools. He was employed at Allouez Amoco, Kauppi Oil and the White House. While employed at these jobs he made many lifelong friends near or far. Everyone knew and loved Clint, there was never a stranger where Clint was concerned. He made friends easily. We could list all the friends he was close to, but it would be an excessive list. Clint enjoyed snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, camping, fishing, playing darts, bowling and golfing and he was a master on the pool table, with many trophies at the local watering holes. He also enjoyed going to the casino with family and friends. Clint also enjoyed cruising and visiting with friends and family. If there was a party, you would find Clint there. Two years ago friends and family came together and organized a benefit for Clint due to health issues. It was an amazing turnout. There was so much love and generosity from all of Clint’s friends and family. Due to other health issues, he was unable to receive a kidney transplant. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gail, brother Kirt, nephew Daven and his two fur babies, Mickey and Patches. He is survived by his father, James G. Dube of Allouez, brother James W. (Jamie) Dube of Allouez, sisters Brenda (Mike) Dube-Monette of Calumet, Laurie Dube of Kearsarge, and Bridget (Chris Henry) Dube of Florida. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Mandy (William Kukhahn) Dube, Frank (Kate) Bonacorsi, James Bonacorsi, Tony Bonacorsi, great-nephews Malik Dube, Ben Bonacorsi and Bryce Bonacorsi, many aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends. We would like to thank Portage Pointe and U.P. Health System-Portage for all their care and compassion. Clint made many new friends and will leave a lasting impression on the nurses and aides that cared for him daily. Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. The Ryan Funeral Home is assisting the family.
