Obituary: Clarence W. “Chris” Little

Lake Linden: Clarence William ”Chris” Little, 76, of Lake Linden, passed away on January 25, 2018.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 17, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.


Lake Linden: Clarence W. “Chris” Little, of Lake Linden, Michigan and formally of Brighton, MI passed away with family by his side on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Age 76 years.
Chris was born on July 7, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Clarence A. and Olive (Pelland) Little. He attended schools in Southfield, MI and Macomb College. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Ford Motor Co. for 37 years until his retirement in 2001, when he moved to the Upper Peninsula.
Chris married the love of his life Sharon Bessner on August 24, 1968 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden.
He was a member of the Lake Linden Lions Club, Saint Joseph Church, and American Legion Post 90. He was someone who lived life on his own terms, with honesty and integrity. A man of true faith, who always had a smile on his face. He adored his wife, children and grandchildren; his world revolved around them. He enjoyed his daily visits for coffee at one of his favorite places, Lindell’s. He loved taking long car rides with family and friends. He was the unofficial tour guide of the Keweenaw.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother-Bob Little; sisters-in-law-Fern Bessner and Barb Bessner; brothers-in-law-Ray, Kenny, and Robert Bessner; and nephews-Timothy Little, Darren Bessner, and Matthew West.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; children-Lisa (Shawn) Coristine of Twin Lakes, WI, Pam (Kevin) McCarron of Fowlerville, MI, Bryan (Melissa) Little of Dearborn Hts, MI; proud grandfather of -Dylan, Josh, Jared, London, Cameron and Addison; his dog-Flash; brother-Rich (Rena) Little; sister-Marci (John) West; brothers and sisters-in-law-Harold Bessner, Barb (Stan) Heikell, Ronnie (Debbie) Bessner, Fran (Nancy) Bessner, Bev (Chuck) Gibson; special friends-Carol and Steve Klobucarich, Davey Poisson, and Karen and Tom Ellsworth; along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be planned for July 2018. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at pearcefuneralhome.com
