Christopher T. “Chris” Mannikko, age 55 of L’Anse, MI passed away at his home on Sunday, February 28, 2021. He was born in L’Anse on May 20, 1965 the son of Leonard and Carole (Cholette) Mannikko. Chris graduated from L’Anse High School in 1984. He was employed at D&H Welding, L’Anse. Chris enjoyed working on cars, woods rides, mud bogging, demolition derbies at the fairs and watching his son Travis off-road race. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and hanging out with his friends.
Chris is survived by his loving son Travis (Bekah) Mannikko of L’Anse, step-son Michael Cote of Baraga, grandchildren Kaylynn and Emmett of L’Anse, father and mother Leonard and Carole Mannikko of L’Anse, brother Bill Mannikko of L’Anse and sister Mary Remer of downstate Michigan. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his sister Ann.
A memorial funeral service will be held at a later date and will be announced at that time.
