Chris Charles Waisanen, 52, of Swedetown died on November 29 at Aspirus Hospital in Laurium.
Chris was preceded in death by his father Kenneth, brother Keith, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his mother Margaret of Swedetown, Two sons Alexsander (Karissa) Waisanen of Laurium and Kyle Huuki of California. Grandchildren Henrick Edward Waisanen (Sam), Waylon Albert Waisanen of Laurium, and Jaxson Keith Huuki. Two step daughters, Jamie and Jessica Hoganson along with their children all of Calumet. His two sisters, Kay (Pat) Bonds of Cadillac, MI and Connie Waisanen from Swedetown. His niece Brittany, and nephews Brandon and Bradley from Cadillac, MI. His Aunts Marion Kaipio of Boston Location, Helen (Don) Waarala of Wisconsin and Uncle John Waisanen of Pennsylvania. Along with numerous cousins and friends.
Chris was a very creative and talented artist, he even did some of his own tattoos. He loved to cook and play guitar. Also loved shooting guns at the sand pit. He also enjoyed going for hikes on the rockpiles and looking for rocks. And in the summers he loved hanging out on “da” deck drinking beer with family and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all.
There will be no services at this time. He will be buried with his family in Waasa Cemetery in the spring, and the family with have a Celebration of Life in the summer at Calumet Waterworks Park “Buckies”.
