Charles Milton Dean Jr., age 87 passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Bayside Village in L’Anse, MI.
He was born September 10, 1932 in Baltimore, MD son of Charles and Thelma (Keil) Dean. Chuck graduated from high school in Baltimore, and received a degree from Baltimore City College. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1953 during the Korean War. Chuck married Mary Friets on August 6, 1953 in Baltimore. He worked for IBM for 35 years in Michigan and Georgia, then moving to L’Anse to be near his son.
Chuck and Mary enjoyed motorcycle and RV camping. They made many friends through their adventures.
Surviving are his son Kevin (Joan) Dean of L’Anse; daughter Laurie Ann Collins of Brooklyn, NY; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and his favorite cat Missy.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife Mary Dean; daughter Valerie Wunder; and sister Thelma Lynn Fritz.
Interment will take place at Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Escanaba, MI. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
