Calumet – Cepelle Meneguzzo, 91, of Calumet passed away on April 6, 2019 following a short illness.
Cepelle was born on June 11, 1927 to Emile and Antionette Theriault in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Catholic schools graduating from St. Leo High School in 1946. She worked most of her life as a union machinist with United Steel Workers local 14043. She was united in marriage to Frank Meneguzzo on February 24, 1973 in Detroit. Following retirement in 1991 they returned to Calumet.
Cepelle was preceded in death by her husband Frank on September 20, 1999.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Calumet, the local Red Hat Society, Topps chapter 1239 and Aspirus Keweenaw Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, John J. Younce of Fife, Washington, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 13, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Fr Gracious Pulimoottil to officiate at the Sacred Heart church in Calumet with visitation one hour prior to service.
