Carolyn M. Lowe, 77, a resident of Lake Linden and former Chassell resident passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the UP Health Systems – Marquette Hospital where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.
She was born on May 4, 1946, in St. Louis, MI, a daughter of the late Ferris and Elva (Moreland) Slates. Carolyn was raised in St. Louis and was a graduate of the St. Louis High School with the class of 1964. She then attended college in Saginaw, MI.
Carolyn was united in marriage to Jack Jeffery and the couple had two children and moved to make their home in Ironwood, MI. After they parted Carolyn moved back to St. Louis before moving to Calumet, MI. She was united in marriage to Jim Cote and the couple moved to make their home in Chassell. Carolyn moved to make her home in Marquette before being united in marriage Dale Lowe, the couple moved to make their home in Chassell. For the past year Carolyn had made her home in Lake Linden.
The Lord Jesus Christ was always a part of Carolyn’s life she was raised in the Baptist Church had been active with the Assembly of God Church in Ironwood and locally was a member of Maranatha Free Lutheran Church of Chassell and had attended Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Atlantic Mine. Carolyn was a gifted artist and musician. She enjoyed teaching music and sharing her gift while playing the piano at church services.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister Linda and her brother Chris and her former husband Dale Lowe.

A memorial service for Carolyn will be held 3:00 pm Friday, March 29, 2024, at Maranatha Free Lutheran Church of Chassell with Pastor Ernest Bylkas III to officiate. Friends may call on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 12:00 noon until time of services at the church.
