Carole Sue Tambellini of Rhinelander, Wi., former Copper Country resident passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2021 from complications following a surgery at the age of 79. Her kind soul, sense of humor and infectious laugh will be greatly missed. Carole will always be remembered for her love of family, friends, books, art, music, and board games, but especially for her enthusiasm for a good cup of coffee and a piece of bakery.
Carole was born in Laurium, Michigan on November 21, 1941. In her youth, she was an avid baseball player and fan. Carole graduated from Calumet High School and then completed an Office Administration Associates degree with Suomi College. She worked many years in the Keweenaw.
Carole was preceded in death by her spouse Russ, brother Bruce and her parents Edward and Mary Elizabeth. Carole is survived by her daughter Tammy (Michael) Umlor, grandchildren Libby and Tommy Umlor, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Carole will be held dearly in the hearts of her family and friends.
