Carol (Huhta) Kolka, 71 of Clarkston, Michigan passed away suddenly on Friday, December 1st at Trinity Health Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan with her husband Chuck by her side.
Carol was born on July 22nd, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert and Joyce Huhta. She graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1971.
She married the love of her life, Chuck Kolka on June 19th, 1971. They were married for 52 wonderful years. Soon after they were married, Carol and Chuck relocated downstate. Recently she was employed at Uncle Peters Pasties in Clarkston, retiring this year. Carol enjoyed gardening and spending time at her Upper Michigan home in Gross Point Shores. Her family was what she lived for and enjoyed all the time she spent with them.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Joyce Huhta, her niece Jill Outinen and brother in law Ed Kolka.
Carol is survived by her husband Chuck Kolka, her sons Rob Kolka of Clarkson, Michigan and Tim Kolka of Grand Blanc, Michigan. Carol is also survived by her grandchildren Tyler and Alyssa Kolka, and Jaxon and Aria Ling. She is also survived by her siblings Sande (Mike) Johns of Traprock, Susie (Michael) Gasperich of Green Bay, WI,
Sherry (Steve) Outinen of Ahmeek, and her brother-in-law Pat (Chris) Kolka of White Law, Wisconsin.
A graveside service will be held in the Calvary Cemetery in Ahmeek. A gathering time will follow at the Ahmeek Fire Hall.
