As received from the Jacobson Funeral Home:
Calix Miron, age 27, of Gladstone, Michigan, passed away on December 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Born on August 20, 1997, to Victor and Laura (Moreno) Miron, Calix was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him.
A graduate of L’Anse High School, Calix was known for his infectious spirit and ability to connect with others. He had a remarkable talent for bringing people together, ensuring that everyone felt included and valued. His friendships spanned across the towns he lived in, and he had a unique gift for rallying friends and creating new connections. Calix embraced life with a childlike wonder, often seen inspiring those around him to do the same.
In his many roles—as a comedian, a confidant, a devoted father, a protective brother, and a loving son—Calix made an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered. Despite facing his own struggles, his capacity for love and empathy never wavered; he poured his heart into all his relationships.
Calix was a passionate outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, often found somewhere in the woods tearing up a dirt road. His greatest motivation was his beloved son, Cameron, whom he cherished deeply. Calix treasured every moment spent with his boy.
Family meant the world to Calix. Even when he couldn’t be physically present, he made a point to connect with loved ones through daily FaceTime calls, always checking in to ensure everyone was doing well. His generosity knew no bounds; whether it was a homemade note, a batch of jerky he was proud he made, or his last dollar, Calix was always ready to give.
Calix is survived by his mother, Laura (Joe) Haapala of Ontonagon, MI; his father, Victor of Baraga (Kymberly) Miron of Gladstone, Ml; his beloved son, Cameron Miron, and Cameron’s mother, Bailey Denomie, of Baraga, MI.
He is also survived by his siblings: Vanessa Peterson, Adebria Miron, Giovanni Miron, Jenevieve Miron, Savannah Haapala, Joey Haapala, Braxlee Haapala, and Brylee Haapala; his aunts: Kerri (Ed) Maki, Kimberly (Dean) Hendrickson, and Shelley (Chris) Roy; nieces and nephews: Kason, Ivy, and Beaux; numerous cousins, including a special cousin, Bud Maki; and a host of friends and family who will forever remember his warmth, humor, and unwavering spirit. He will be deeply missed and will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
