Obituary: Brenda G. Thompson

Brenda G. Thompson, 60, a resident of Laurium, passed away Monday morning January 27, 2019, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock following a lengthy illness.

She was born on June 27, 1958, in Laurium, MI, a daughter of the late Stanley and Carl (Anderson) Thompson. Brenda was raised in Laurium, Indianapolis, Indiana, Lake Linden and Airport Location. She attended the Calumet School, Lake Linden Schools and was a graduate of the Hancock High School with the class of 1976.

Ms. Thompson had worked for Traubs Grocery and Joey’s Market in Hancock. She also was a bartender for the Paradise Bar, Yesterday Saloon and Ken’s Den until her health problems forced her retirement.

Her brother: Andy Thompson of Laurium

Her daughter: Anna (Daniel) Martell of Quinnesec, MI
