Obituary: Billy Ray Sanders

Billy Ray Sanders, age 89, of L’Anse, MI, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. He was born in Garland, TX on January 15, 1931 the son of the late Ethel Sanders. Billy graduated from Garland High School in 1949. He worked at Mobile Oil Corporation for 38 years, retiring in 1987. Billy married the former Anita Mittermeier in Dallas, TX on October 8, 1988. He loved going camping with his cousins after retirement. Billy was a wonderful gentle man who loved God and family. He was always lending a helping hand and was loved by everyone who came in contact with him. Billy will be greatly missed by those who loved him dearly.

Billy is survived by his loving wife Anita of L’Anse, son Steve and daughter Gay, step children Sascha Roberson and Darlene Busby and son-in-law Marc Kammerman. He was preceded in death by his mother Ethel and his children Tomy Sanders and Billie Lynn Kammerman.
