As received from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel:
Betty J (Anderson) Tschury, September 2, 1929 – November 3, 2019
Angels belong in Heaven. Betty passed away peacefully and is now dancing with Lee. Betty was born in Marquette, the 3rd of 7 children to Carl and Della (Dunham) Anderson. Betty graduated from Trout Creek High School and attended Business College in Green Bay and worked in Chicago. Betty met Lee while in grade school and they often rode the Soo Line back to Sidnaw.
Betty and Lee settled in Sidnaw and raised the twins, Debbie and David. She and Lee were married days short of 48 years. Betty worked numerous jobs while raising the twins, a clerk at Borrows Grocery Store, cooking for Camp Nesbit and Alberta, eventually retiring from a career as the Sidnaw Post Master. She was a long time member of the Covington Women’s Auxiliary VFW. Betty had moved to Rapid River a few years after Lee’s passing with her daughter as her health began to deteriorate. She moved 1 year ago to an assisted living facility, Sunny View where she was loved and well cared for. Betty loved to read and was a devoted Green Bay Packer, Detroit Red Wings and Cubs fan and all out sports aholic.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Lee, her parents Carl and Della, brothers Bob, Bill and Doug, brothers-in-law Gordon Tschury, Larry Yoemans, Harold Champine, Ray Price and sister-in-law Barb Anderson.
Betty is survived by sisters Pat Champine, Kay Price and Rose Yoemans and sister-in-law Lillian Tschury, children Deb Miller and David (Jeannie) Tschury. Betty has several nieces and nephews that she loved deeply. Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life, Chris, Alan, Rhonda and Michelle Tschury, John Okesson, Bob and Becky Baron and Billee Miller, great grandchildren Anika, Leland and Sebastian Tschury, Tristen and Jayden Baron and Johnny Aper. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and her smile will sorely be missing from our lives.
Betty wished for no visitation or viewing (just too sad). Burial will take place in the Sidnaw Cemetery next to Lee with a luncheon to follow. The date has not been determined.
Remember to love them while they are near.
