Obituary: Ann Weiler McMahon

Atlantic Mine: Ann Weiler McMahon, 67, of Atlantic Mine, passed away early on Friday morning, January 26, 2018 at the Omega House in Houghton.

She was born in Hancock on July 11, 1950 to the late John and Winifred (McGinty) McMahon. Following graduation from Hancock High School, she earned her nursing degree and technical writing degree from Michigan Tech. She was employed for a time at the Mayo Clinic and at Keweenaw Memorial Hospital before working for Plato Wycast Division of Control Data Corporation and then for Honeywell Commercial Aviation Division. She was later co-owner of W. N. Miller Company who manufactured Everblades heated windshield wipers and then at Office Tenders, Inc.

Ann was married to James Weiler on October 30, 1993.

She is survived by her husband, James of Atlantic Mine, a sister, Mary McMahon, and a brother, Michael (Faye) McMahon. Her parents preceded her in death.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church of Houghton with Rev. Fr. John Martignon to officiate. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Wednesday.
