Ann Monica Hosang, age 77, of Lake Linden, passed away at Portage Health System on January 4, 2021.
She was born in Hubbell on June 15, 1943, a daughter of Lawrence & Monica Hosang.
After graduating from St. Joseph Convent School in Milwaukee, WI, she earned her nursing degree from Northern Michigan University. She worked at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility for the next 34 years, until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Lawrence and John, and sisters, Laurine and Mary.
She is survived by a brother, Carl (Julie) Hosang of Ishpeming; Nieces and Nephews – Lori (Todd) LaRoux, Jeri Hosang, Beth (Dan McKellar), Bryan (Stephanie) Hosang, Daphne Hosang, Crystal (Steven) Leister and Danielle (Gary) King. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and cousins as well as a very special four-legged friend, Buffy who was the light of her life.
At the request of the deceased, there will be a private family service. Spring burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly, or a charitable organization of your choice.
