Michael Alan Joki, age 68 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 28, 1949 in Calumet, MI son of William and Barbara (Hilden) Joki. Michael grew up in Calumet and later moved to L’Anse where he graduated from high school in 1967. He married the former Yvonne Johnson on July 2, 1977 in Baraga. Michael worked for the L’Anse Area Schools as the janitor afternoon supervisor; retired in 2008. He was a past president of ACME union and was a very active member. He liked to write and being on his computer where he was actively selling things on eBay.
Surviving are his wife Yvonne Joki of L’Anse; daughter Michelle Joki and son William Joki both of L’Anse; brothers, David (Alice) Joki of Laurium, Jim Joki of Iron Mountain; sister Karen (Tom) Chaudier of Negaunee; and grandchild Kele Joki Fullerton.
Preceding him in death are his parents and brother John Joki.
Family services will be held at a later date. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
