Calumet–Mary Polglase, age 92, passed away on July 4, 2017 at the Shulstad Senior Living Home in Baraga, where she had resided the past several years.
Mary was born in Calumet, a daughter of Olive Polglase. She was a great-granddaughter of Joseph Blight, who founded the Eagle River Fuse Company in 1862 and was an early Keweenaw County resident. Mary spent her childhood years in Eagle River and Calumet, attending school there. She was a member of the Christ Church Episcopal in Calumet. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Patricia in 2006.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 11th at 11:00am with Rev. Laurie Eaton to officiate. Visitation will be one prior at the Ryan Funeral Home.
