Lois Mae Wanhala, 80, a resident of Calumet passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at PortagePointe.
She was born on January 17, 1937 in Hancock to Russell and Pearl (Jandika) Etelmaki.
She attended Dollar Bay High School.
Lois loved crafting. She was also an avid bingo player.
She had compasion for family and friends. If anyone needed anything, she was always there for them. Lois would help anyone.
She loved spending time with her family and her dog Dingo.
In December 1971 she married Ron Wanhala in Calumet. .
She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Pearl Etelmaki, her husband, Ronald, her son, Ron, her brother, Paul Etelmaki, her sister, Ruth Hiltunen, and her grandson Jason.
She is survived by

Sue (Lee) VanCamp of Calumet
Marlene Petaja of Kearsarge
9 grandchildren
22 great grandchildren
2 great great grandchildren
Sisters: Sharon (Stan) Moilanen of Sheboygan, Wisconsin
Shirley (Roy) Hivala of Escanaba
And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Per Lois’s wishes, burial and celebration of life will take place in the spring, at the Lake View Cemetery.
