Laura M. Isaacson, 83, a resident of Hancock, passed away Thursday July 27, 2017, at UP Health – Portage Hospital following a short illness.

She was born on April 22, 1934, in Mass, MI a daughter of Jesse and Mabel (Fezzey) Bender.  She was a graduate of the Mass High School with the class of 1952.

On September 1, 1955, she was united in marriage to Clayton Isaacson.  The couple resided in Hancock.  Laura had worked for a short time at the local Met Life office and then she stayed home to raise their three children.  The couple then moved to Detroit until returning to Hancock in 1994 for retirement.

Mrs. Isaacson was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hancock.  She enjoyed watching soap operas and working crossword puzzles.

Donna (Ronald) McLean of Hancock

Debbie (Gary) Rymal of Clinton Township, MI

Her granddaughter: Megan Hickey

Her brother: Jim (Linda) Bender of Medford, OR

Several nieces, nephews and cousins

Funeral services for Laura will be held 11 am Tuesday August 1, 2017, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Scot Lindenberg to officiate.  Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock.

Friends may call on Monday July 31, 2017, from 4-8 pm at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock and on Tuesday from 10 am until times of services at the funeral home.
