Jean L. Paull

Jean L. Paull, 97, a former resident of Laurium, the Bluffs and recently of Portage Pointe died on September 4, 2017.
She was born on October 9, 1919 in Houghton to William and Lillian (Mager) Verran.
Jean graduated from Hancock High School in 1936. On August 29, 1942 she was married to her sweetheart Wendell Paull in Republic, MI.
She was a lifelong member of the Trillium Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star 304. A devout Christian and member of the Laurium Methodist Church, she loved to share her faith with others.
Jean will be remembered for her artistic skills. She was a talented musician on the organ, a self taught oil painter and made beautiful and intricate needlework.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 69 years Wendell, her parents, sister in law Viola Maierle and her husband Albert and a nephew Wendell Maierle.
Jean is survived by her nephew: James (Janice) Maierle
Niece; Sharon Maierle
Other nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends across the country and in Cornwall, England.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Laurium Methodist Church (Kearsarge Street Laurium) with Pastor Jayme Palaszewski and Pastor Ken Toth to officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:30-11:00 AM at the Church.

Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials may be given to the Copper Country Humane Society P.O. Box 453 Houghton, MI 49931 in Jean’s memory.
The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
