Janette Lucille Trevorrow, age 86 of Mohawk Michigan passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday October 31, 2017.
Janette (Jan) was born December 12, 1930 in Mohawk Michigan. She moved to Flint at age 3 where she attended school and graduated from Central High in 1948. Jan attended the University of Michigan on a merit scholarship before meeting her husband William (Bill) with whom she spent the next 66 years. Jan’s life was defined by her family, her work, and her friendships. If Jan befriended you, that friendship was never lost.
Jan was a member of a club of women called the Queenies, thirteen friends, many from her grade school days. This club stayed together her entire life, evolving to include husbands and whatever life had in store for them. In 1969 she started her professional career by learning computer programming. She worked for over twenty years at various firms, retiring from Electronic Data Systems Corporation as a System Software Engineer in 1993. Jan loved her job and many of the friendships she made at work lasted the remainder of her life. During their retirement, Jan and Bill spent twenty years traveling the country in their fifth wheel trailer, meeting people and creating another circle of very close friends.
Janette was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lucille and Alex Marczi and her beloved aunt and uncle, Mabel and Clarence Benson. She is survived by her husband William James Trevorrow of Mohawk Michigan as well as her children, Bruce and Beth Trevorrow of Rosebush Michigan, Jeff and Penny Trevorrow of Mass City Michigan, and Neal Trevorrow and Karen Gospodinovich of Bellingham Washington. She is also survived by five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions can me made to the American Cancer Society and your local Humane Society.
