Eva M. Lahti, 96, a resident of Mohawk, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at her home.
She was born on February 26, 1921 in Jacobsville to Frank and Katherine (Loukkanen) Kuusisto.
She attended Chassell High School and graduated as valedictorian with the Class of 1939.
Following high school, Eva attended Suomi College
On June 30, 1945 she was united in marriage to Waino Lahti in Jacobsville.
She was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Fulton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Katherine; her husband, Waino; 2 sisters, Linda Savolainen and Edna; and 3 brothers, Samuel, Edward, and John.
She is survived by:

9 Grandchildren: David (Kristen), Jeff (Jennifer), Jill (Lanny), Janelle (Hans), Greg, Aaron, Daniel, David, and Thomas
11 Great grandchildren: Austin, Bradley, Maxwell, Vern, Abby, Rita, Rodney, Macie, Keegan, Brielle, Kaisa, Bridget, Chase, Kirby, and Anna
And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Fulton. Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
