Erma Ketola, 83, of Mohawk passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at UP Health System Marquette.
Erma was born on July 2, 1934 to Leonard and Hulda (Karvola) Koski. She graduated from Calumet High School in 1952.
On July 20, 1957m she was united in marriage to John Ketola.
Jack and Erma celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past July with family and friends.
Erma was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church of Mohawk.
She was an avid golfer, and bowler. She will be remembered as the caring, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Always preparing her Sunday dinners and baking.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Leonard and Hulda Koski and sisters, Roma Aalto, and Enith (Walt) Juopperi.

Daughter: Rebecca “Becky” (William) Butala of Laurium
Grandchildren: Cassandra Ketola, Jody Ketola, Emily (Grant) Allen, John Butala, Jacob Butala, and Jana Butala
Great grandchildren: Jodan Redd, Joseph Redd and Nathan Thyrion
Brother: Carl (Dorothy) Koski
And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins
A funeral of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Mohawk with Pastor Tim Johnston to officiate. Visitation will talk place 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Mohawk.
