Clifford “Bicco” Louis Foy, age 100, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Shulstad’s Leisure Living in Baraga, MI.
He was born October 19, 1917 in Covington, MI son of Julius and Ada (Giroux) Foy. Clifford graduated from L’Anse High School. He married Florence “Toots” LaBelle on February 8, 1941 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. In 1941 they moved to the Detroit area where he worked most of his career at Chrysler in management; retiring in 1974 when they moved to Munising for a year then back to L’Anse.
Clifford was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, where he also served as an usher, and was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus member. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and socializing with the locals.
He is survived by his daughter Sandra (Theodore) Beaudette of Harrison Twp, MI; son Gary (Charlotte) Foy of New Baltimore, MI; grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Grates, Suzanne Beaudette, Robert Foy, Nicole (Scott) Sorgeloos; great grandchildren, Madison and Harper Sorgeloos; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife Florence; siblings, Sylvia, Margaret, Lila, Fredrick, Raymond, William, and two infants.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 28th from 10-11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in L’Anse. The funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Corey Litzner officiating. Burial will be in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
