Youth Can Make a Difference in Their Communities with Upper Peninsula YouthWork

Winter may have just started but it’s never too early to start thinking about the future. Upper Peninsula Youth Work programs have open opportunities for young people to grow as leaders, provide service to the community, and learn skills for working together in a team. The Youth Conservation Corps program is designed to develop young people and their communities by completing projects for non-profits and municipal governments throughout Michigan. The program offers opportunities to serve as Americorps members as adult leaders for young people aged 17 to 26. And opportunities as junior crew members for those 14 to 16 years old. Most youth work programs begin in the spring starting in June, and end in August. Youth interested in joining Upper Peninsula Youth Work programs to serve the local area should contact Regional Coordinator Lana Skubick with any questions, or for more information. Learn more about Upper Peninsula youth work here. YouthWork programs are developed by the Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan.
