William Clay Ford Sr. Passes Away

The last surviving grandson of Henry Ford is dead. Detroit Lions owner and chairman William Clay Ford died Sunday at the age of 88 due to pneumonia. He had been the sole owner since buying the team in 1963 for 4.5 million dollars. Under his ownership, the team built two stadiums, hosted the 2006 Super Bowl and constructed a 36-million-dollar training center in Allen Park. There will be a private service, and contributions can be sent to the Henry Ford Museum.
