Walmart, Schwan’s Food Products Recalled

Two food recalls have been issued that could affect our area.

Continental Mills has issued a recall for a single lot of “Great Value Buttermilk Pancake and Waffle Mix” because of potential foreign material contamination. Fragments from a cable used to clear the processing line were discovered in a limited amount of product.

The mix was distributed nationwide through Walmart stores. The affected product carries UPC 078742370828, with Lot code KX2063,and a Best By Date of 09/01/2023. No consumers have reported any problems. If you have any, do not use it, and return it to Walmart for a refund.

Fairmont Foods is recalling Schwan’s Brand “Spinach and Artichoke Dip.” The dip includes soy and wheat products which are not mentioned on the label, and could be hazardous to those who are sensitive to those ingredients. The recalled product is packed in a brown corrugated box imprinted with a red Schwan’s Brand “Spinach and Artichoke Dip” logo. Two bowls are included in each box. The package is labeled Net Wt. 24oz. (1lb 8oz) 680g, with the number #802 and the Product Information Code P82013 xxxx located on the side. Schwan’s may have distributed the recalled product through its home delivery network. The recalled product was not sold in retail stores. To date, there have been no reported injuries or illnesses. If you have any of this product, do not consume it, and contact Schwan’s for a refund.
