Michigan could make voting easier for its residents if it expanded voting options such as “early voting,” according to a new report from Common Cause. Ten states were focused upon in the study. It says many have been behind in implementing recommendations of a presidential commission that had been created to look into the long lines that often occur on election day. While Michigan law allows absentee voting, it does not allow voters to refuse to give a reason why they’re voting absentee. Michigan also does not allow early voting or voting by mail.
