A bill that will provide every veteran with access to a card that will verify their service is headed to President Obama’s desk.
The Veteran’s ID Card Act, co-sponsored by Congressman Dan Benishek, passed out of the House without opposition.
Traditionally, veterans would have to use a paper form known as the DD-214 in order to prove to employers and other institutions that they had served.
With the passage of this bill, the Veteran’s ID Card will serve as a convenient substitute.
