Volunteer Drivers Needed For Little Brothers

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly urgently needs volunteer drivers to provide safe, reliable transportation for the elderly to their medical appointments in the Houghton and Marquette areas.

Transportation Coordinator Ren Olson says these drivers help alleviate a lot of concerns.

Volunteers should have a valid driver’s license, their own vehicles, and be willing to provide “door through door” transportation, which includes standby assistance to and from the car and through the door of the home or medical office.

The next volunteer orientation meeting is July 27th at 6:00 pm at the Little Brothers office in Hancock.

Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to attend the training. Refreshments provided.   For more information, call Little Brothers’ Program Director, Carol Korpela at 906-482-6944 or email her atckorpela.hou@littlebrothers.org.
