VA Bills Move Forward

Several bills designed to help veterans are moving forward, including three introduced by Congressman Dan Benishek.

Benishek is chairman of the Subcommittee on Veterans Health which voted to approve the legislation.

The bills included draft legislation to collect important information on the Veterans Health Administration to ensure that veterans fleeing domestic violence qualify for homelessness programs.

Another bill is the Toxic Exposure Research Act.

Benishek cited corruption and lack of accountability in the VA as reasons why these steps to take care of veterans are so important.

These bills will now move to the full Committee on Veterans Affairs for consideration.
