UPEDA to Meet in Houghton – May 23, 2014 – Todd VanDyke
The Upper Peninsula Economic Development Alliance is meeting in Houghton today. The keynote address will be delivered by Valerie Brader… Deputy Legal Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor to Gov. Rick Snyder. She’ll be outlining Snyder’s energy plans for the U.P. The Alliance will also be involved in panel discussions with experts about our present energy system… and experts in alternative energy options.
Meanwhile, business operators from across the U.P. gathered in Marquette yesterday for the U.P. Green Expo. Session leaders presented ways in which all of us can save energy and produce less waste… with a goal of reducing our energy dependency on other states.
