Dementia and Alzheimer’s caregivers take many forms, from professionals brushing up on education to middle-aged kids learning more about their parent’s recent diagnosis. Because caring for dementia patients takes a team effort. UPCAP is committed to educating caregivers and has made the program available online so participants can attend from anywhere in the Upper Peninsula. The Dementia Caregivers Series with UPCAP sponsored by the Older American Act and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ Bureau of Aging Community Living and Supports will begin December 4th. Each session will occur once a week until the 18th. UPCAP requests those interested in participating in the Dementia Caregiving Series register before November 24th. Find more details here.
