A new program designed to integrate medical services for Michiganders who are qualified for both Medicare and Medicaid will be rolled out first in the Upper Peninsula. Last week, the Michigan Department of Community Health signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to implement the plan. The result will be MI Health Link. MDCH Director James Haveman says MI Health Link will make services from the two different systems easier for beneficiaries to access. A three-year demonstration program will begin enrolling participants later this year… both here in the U-P, and in Southwest Michigan. Other areas will be added later. For more details, click here.
