U.P. Legislators Hold Town Hall Meeting

Energy efficiency. Education. The meth epidemic. Those were some of the topics discussed at the town hall meeting for the U.P. legislators yesterday at Calumet High School. Representative Scott Dianda hosted the event and was joined by Sentor Tom Casperson, Representative John Kievela and Representative Ed McBroom. Dianda says it is important to have these meetings to bridge the gap between Lansing and the U.P.

Senator Casperson added that although the legislators don’t agree on a lot of issues, it’s critical for them to come together to represent the local area.

The meeting was part of a U.P. tour that will include stops in Newberry, Marquette and Escanaba.
