Every child needs companionship and someone to look up to.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters provides mentoring relationships to children, helping to make a positive difference in their lives.
To help keep this essential service going, U.P. Kids is hosting their Bowl for Kids event Saturday at the Mine Shaft in Houghton.
Bowling will be held at noon, 2:00pm and 4:00pm. All is needed is a donation of $37 per person, and you can come with a team or simply come by yourself and they will find a team for you.
Program Director Maggie Munch says they really need people to step up and help their cause this weekend.
Not up for ten frames? You can still help the cause by donating to any of the dozens of bowlers helping to raise money.
