U.P. Health-Portage Hospice Remembers

Friends and family members of those cared for by UP Health System Portage Hospice in the past year gathered to remember their loved ones yesterday. Bereavement Coordinator Marianne Berghefer said the Bells for Hospice ceremony is helpful to those who have suffered the loss… and to the Hospice staff… BERGHEFER. Pastor David Weber from Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Houghton read the names of those who passed away. each was acknowledged with a single bell toll. Weber sang a song he wrote, and the Bells on the Bay Handbell Choir performed. Here is some video from the service:
