Two young men from Bruce Crossing have been arrested for shooting at a house. Michigan State Police from the Wakefield Post say they are 20-year-old Michael Gore and 18-year-old Brandon Karianen. Gore has bonded out of the Ontonagon County Jail. Karianen is in the jail on $10,000 bond. They have a probable cause conference scheduled for February 9th and a preliminary exam set for February 17th. Troopers say a resident on Choate Road in Ewen told them on January 8th that he woke up on two separate occasions to the sound of shotgun pellets hitting his house and his mailbox. Three days later, a trooper found evidence during a traffic stop that appeared to match evidence found at the house in Ewen. The State Police arrested Gore and Karianen on Sunday. They’re charged with receiving and concealing firearms, reckless use of firearms, discharge of firearms in or at a building and malicious destruction of personal property worth $200 to $1,000.
