Taking on a role with the National Park Service requires a passion for history and the local community. Recently the Keweenaw National Historic Park announced the park has two internship positions open. Both positions will work closely with the national park’s visual information specialist and interpretation and education team as media interns. The positions will grow an individual’s skills in writing editing, photography, video production, NPS website management, and more. The internship program will employ candidates for 29 weeks and are eligible for an AmeriCorps education award upon completing the program. The Keweenaw National Historic Park hopes to have both positions filled by mid-September. Applicants for the internship positions will need to apply with the national park service by August 12th.
