Two Houghton County men are both facing felonies after police say they began fighting following an attempted purchase of marijuana.
27-year-old Joseph Schreiber was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a four year felony.
29-year old Andrew Rohrer was charged with Delivery/Manufacturer of a Controlled Substance—Marijuana, also a four year felony.
The incident happened Thursday shortly after 7pm at a residence in Hancock.
Police say they found the two men both bleeding from apparent knife wounds to their face, head and arms.
They were arrested and then taken to U.P. Health System—Portage for treatment.
Rohrer is a certified medical marijuana provider but he is not licensed to sell to Schreiber.
The prosecution said Schreiber allegedly arrived to purchase the drugs armed with a taser and two knives, one of them a six inch kitchen knife.
Bond was set at $25,000 cash for Schreiber and ten percent of $3,000 for Rohrer.
They are both currently lodged in the Houghton County Jail.
They are scheduled to have preliminary hearings on June 17th.
